Kathy G’s Reflection
- Group maintenance happens at first – there’s a ‘checking in’ around the group to see how everyone is. Doing this provides for a safe and respectful environment giving people optimum opportunity to participate.
- There is a sense of humour within the group and light banter exchange that also makes the ‘feel’ of the group relaxed.
- A group member is asked directly how she is going – in a real work situation she may do things differently but for the purposes of the uni task she is concentrating on keeping things moving – feel like that myself.
- Different people are participating this week by talking or writing, and it seems that actions are being made. C leads and minutes well with this. This is where we become task focused. Ideas abound and people seem energized and excited by the task. I feel more comfortable with everyone participating.
- B has out us on a winner. People are taking on responsibilities. I think we are on target with what we have to do. No stress…yet…but when stress happens I think it will be fine because of the maturity of participants.
- We agree to meet in the holiday which I see as a positive commitment to the task and each other.
